Understanding League Age and Can my child play up?
Magnolia Little League has set our divisions based on League Age. On playing up below League Age 9, divisions AA and below, unfortunately, the answer is no. This is due to safety concerns mixing players of various ages and physical development. At League Age 9, evaluations at the Pitcher & Catchers level and above, players will be drafted on to team based on skill.

New Bat Standard for 2018
In August 2015, Little League International adopted the new USA Baseball Bat Standard beginning in 2018. This means any BPF (i.e., current Little League approved) bats will not be approved bats after December 31, 2017. Please assume all BPF bats will not be allowed in regular season or tournament play in 2018.
MLL recommends holding off on expensive bat purchases until the new USABat marked bats are available in the Fall of 2017.
Positive Coaching Alliance
Positive Coach Alliance Certification Now Required!
Due to the success and excellent feedback of Positive Coaching Alliance certification, the Magnolia Little League Board of Directors voted at the November 2016 meeting to continue Positive Coaching Alliance certification as a requirement to be eligible to coach in Magnolia Little League for all levels.
Can I play with requests
With over 540 children playing ball, MLL policy is to match coach requests (1 head coach and 1 assistant coach) only and only at younger levels. It has been that way for many years resulting in many great friendships with neighbors who otherwise would not have ever met. Note that this policy does not impact siblings.
